Changes to the Minimum Wage in Poland in 2025

Important information for everyone working or planning to work in Poland! As of the beginning of 2025, the government has increased the minimum hourly wage. This decision aims to support employees and ensure a higher standard of living.  

What does the change concern?
Minimum monthly salary: 4666 PLN gross. (employment contract)
The minimum hourly wage has increased to 30.50 PLN gross. (civil law contract) This means that regardless of the industry you work in, your hourly wage cannot be lower than the legally defined norm.   

What does this mean for employees?

Increased earnings for hourly workers.

Improved social security, as rates increase along with other economic indicators.

Greater certainty of financial stability for employees with the minimum wage.

Notes:

Gross vs. Net: It’s worth remembering that the stated rate of 30.50 PLN is the gross amount, meaning before taxes and social security contributions are deducted. The net amount, which is what the employee will receive, will be slightly lower.
